BUOM was designed around the silhouette of a sail in full wind - the Vietnamese word buôm giving the collection both its name and its suspended visual logic.
Jean-Marie Massaud’s slender oak frame, slanted stance, and sail-inspired geometry remain as originally conceived. In the cushioned version, the leather sling gives way to upholstered warmth: a softer material expression within an unaltered structure. Precision and ease remain suspended in careful equilibrium. BUOM continues as the solitary companion - light in presence, enduring in character - now extended in its welcome.
