What Does Tanglaw Mean?![]()
Tanglaw means light — and light, in the Filipino home, has always been more than illumination. It marks the table where the family gathers, the window left glowing for someone still on their way home. This collection takes that idea and gives it a body: five lamps, each crowned by a woven salakot and lit by a soft orb beneath the brim, each one wearing a different chapter of Filipino identity. They are the same in silhouette and different in story — a family, standing together.
Who is the Filipiniana?
The butterfly sleeves of the terno are unmistakably Filipino — a silhouette that weathered every wave of foreign influence and emerged as a symbol of the nation itself. The Filipiniana lamp is shaped by that iconic line, finished with a scalloped lace hem and a single sampaguita resting in its hat. It stands the way the dress does at any gathering: upright, graceful, and impossible to mistake for anywhere else.
What is it made of?
Each Mini is 3D printed in-house from PLA, a plant-based material, its form drawn from Filipino tradition — the Katipunero, Maria Clara, Habi, the Barong, the Filipiniana, and more across the full collection. This is form following culture: the heritage shapes the figure, not just its finish.
